Pizza Bomb is basically a bread stuffed with cheese & veggies used in making pizza.
You can otherwise call it pizza buns or pizza pav.
It can be made either in oven or you can make in kadai or pan.
Both the ways it will be tasty , soft & spongy…
Ingredients for making the dough:
1.All purpose flour/maida-2 cups
2.Instant yeast-2tsp
3.Powdered milk-2tbsp
4.Salt as per taste
5.Sugar-1tbsp
6.Lukewarm water as required
7.Oil-3tsp
For making the filling:
1.chopped onions-2tbsp
2.Chopped capsicum-2tbsp
3.Chopped tomatoes-2tbsp
4.Chopped olives-2tsp
5.Grated mozzarella cheese-1/2 cup
6.Pizza sauce-2 tbsp
7.Pizza seasoning-1tsp
8.Chilli flakes-1tsp
9.Salt -1 pinch
Method:
To make the dough:
1.In a mixing bowl take 2 cups of all purpose flour/maida, 2tsp instant yeast,2tbsp powdered milk, salt 1 pinch & sugar-1tbsp.
2.Give it a good mix.
3.Now add Luke warm water little by little & make a soft & smooth dough.
4.Now add 2tsp of oil & knead the dough for 5 minutes.
5.After that tuck the dough well & rub some oil on top as well as in the sides of the bowl
6.Now Cover & keep it in a warm place for minimum 30 minutes to rise.
Mean while we will make the filling.
For filling:
1.In a bowl add 2tbsp chopped onions,2tbsp chopped capsicum, 2tbsp chopped tomatoes & 2tsp chopped olives.
2.Now add 1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese & 2tbsp of pizza sauce.
3.After that add 1tsp of pizza seasoning, 1tsp chili flakes & pinch of salt(careful the sauce & cheese have already salt)
4.Now mix everything well & keep aside .
The process:
1.Now after 30 minutes punch the dough to get the air out & knead a little.
2.Transfer to a platform & make a log.
3.Then cut in to equal medium size balls ( I got 8 equal balls)
4.Now take a ball & tuck it well
5.Then flatten a little with a rolling pin.
6.Then add 1tbsp of prepared filling & pull upward to close it.
7.Then keep it in a greased baking tray & like this prepare all the balls & keep in the greased tray.
8.Once all the balls are prepared cover it with a towel & allow it rest for 20 minutes.
9.After 20 minutes in a small bowl take 1tbsp milk+1tsp butter Mix it well.
10.Then brush all the balls on top with the milk & butter mixture.
11.Now sprinkle some pizza seasoning & chili flakes on top.
12.Now pre heat the oven in 180 degree C for 10 minutes.
13.After 10 minutes place the baking tray in oven & bake for 20 to 25 minutes in 180 degree C.
14.Once done take out the tray & now brush some butter on top & cover it with a towel for 5 minutes.
15.Now soft & spongy pizza buns are ready to serve.
16.Serve hot with tomato ketchup & a cold drink & enjoy…
