Ingredients:
For pakoda:
1.Gram flour-5 tbsp
2.Onion-1 large sliced
3.Chopped garlic-1 tsp
4.Chopped ginger-1tsp
5.Chopped green chilly-1 tsp
6.Curry leaves-6 to 7
7.Coriander leaves
8.Turmeric powder-1/4tsp
9.Red chilly powder-1tsp
10.Coriander powder-1tsp
11.Cumin powder-1/2 tsp
12.Salt to taste
13.Water as per requirement
14.Oil for deep frying
For kadi:
1.Dahi/Yogurt/Curd-1.5 cup
2.Besan/Gramflour-2tbsp
3.Turmeric powder-1/3 tsp
4.Red chilly powder-1tsp
5.Coriander powder-1tsp
6.Cumin powder-1/2 tsp
7.Garam masala-1/2 tsp
6.Salt
7.Water as per requirement
8.oil-2tbsp
9.Dry red chilly-2 nos
10.Cumin seed-1tsp
11.Onion-1 medium
12.Garlic 1 tsp chopped
13.Ginger 1tsp chopped
14.Green chilly-2
15.Curry leaves-10
Method:
First for making pakodas:
1.Take a mixing bowl. Add 1 large onion sliced, 1tsp chopped garlic,1tsp chopped ginger, 1tsp chopped green chilly,Curry leaves-6 to 7,besan-5tbsp,turmeric powder-1/4tsp,
red chilly powder-1tsp,coriander powder-1tsp,cumin powder-1/2 tsp,salt to taste.
2.Add water as per requirement & make a batter not so thick not so thin & keep aside
3.Heat a pan & add oil for deep frying.
4.When the oil is hot add little by little batter with hands to the oil to make pakodas.Fry the pakoda till golden brown Then take out side & keep
For making kadi:
1.In a bowl add 1.5 cups of dahi/curd/yogurt Mix well.
2.Then to it add 2 tbsp of gram flour & mix well so that there will be no lumps.
3.Now add turmeric powder-1/3 tsp,red chilly powder-1tsp,coriander powder-1tsp,cumin powder-1/2 tsp,garam masala -1/2 tsp, salt to taste.Mix everything well.
4.Now add 2 cups or as per requirement & mix & make a thin mixture & keep aside
5.Heat a pan & add oil-2tbsp
6.When the oil is hot add 2 dry red chilly, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 7 to 8 curry leaves. saute for some seconds.
7.Then add 1 medium size onion chopped Mix & saute till soft.
8.Then add 1 tsp chopped garlic,1 tsp chopped ginger, 2 green chilly slitted. Mix & saute till everything become soft
9.Now add the yogurt mixture. Adjust the consistency & salt. Mix well & let it cook for 8 to 10 minutes in medium flame
10.Then add the pakodas mix well & cook for 10 to 12 miutes.
11.Add 2tbsp chopped coriander leaves Mix & cook for 2 more minutes.
12.Now the kadi pakoda is ready Turn off the heat & enjoy with plain Rice.
