Ingredients:
1.Onion-3 medium sized cut in to slices
2.Garlic -4 pods (Crushed)
3.Chilly-3 chopped
4.Ajwain/carom seeds-1 tsp
5.curry leaves-12
6.Besan/Gram flour- 1.5 cup
7.Turmeric powder(Haldi)- 1/4 tsp
8.Red chilly powder-1 tsp
9.Roasted cumin powder-1/2 tsp
10.Coriander powder-1/2 tsp
11.Salt to taste
12.Coriander leaves-2 tbsp
13.Water-1/4 cup or as per requirement
14.Oil for deep frying
Method:
1.In a mixing bowl Add the sliced onions & mix to separate the slices. Then add the crushed garlic,chopped chilly, ajwain-1tsp, curryleaves tear with hands
& add,Besan-1.5 cup, turmeric powder-1/4 tsp,red chilly powder-1 tsp,roasted cumin powder-1/2 tsp,coriander powder-1/2 tsp,salt to taste & coriander leaves.
2.Then add water little by little & mix to form a batter of holding consistency. The batter should not be watery & keep aside.
3.Now place a pan on stove & add oil for deep frying. Let the oil to be heated up to medium. Check the heat by droping a little batter.
4.When the oil is ready drop spoon full of batter (tea spoon) or you can add the batter with your hand by giving a shape of pakode.Drop 7 to 8 spoons of
batter at a time depending on the space.
5.Let it cook for 3 to 4 minutes in medium flame. After 4 minutes flip & fry another 3 to 4 minutes.Then flip & fry till you get a nice golden colour
and crispy texture. Then take out in a tissue paper to absorb the extra oil.Repeat the process & preapare all the pakodas.
6.Serve hot with any chutney of your choice or tamato sauce along with a hot cup of coffee or tea & Enjoy the rain….
