Ingredients:
For the manchurian balls:
1.Cabbage finely chopped-1 cup
2.Onion chopped-1 tbsp
3.Garlic chopped-1 tsp
4.Chopped spring onion-2 tbsp
5.Chilly chopped-2 nos
6.Soysauce-1 tsp
7.Red chilly powder-1/2 tsp
8.All purpose flour/Maida-2 tbsp
9.Corn flour-2 tbsp
10.Rice flour-1 tbsp
11.Salt to taste
12.Oil for deep fry the balls
For Making the sauce:
1.OIl-2 tbsp
2.Minced garlic-1 tbsp
3.Onion chopped -1 small
4.Chopped chilly-2
5.Spring onions-2tbsp
6.Chopped capsicum-1/2
7.Red chilly powder-1 tsp
8.Soysauce-1 tsp
9.Red chilly sauce-1tbsp
10.Tomato sauce-2 tbsp
11.Corn flour-2 tsp
12.Waer-1/2 cup
13.salt to taste
Method:
1.Take the finely chopped cabbage in a bowl. Add some salt. mix well. Cover & allow it rest for 20 minutes so that the cabbage can release the water.
2.After 20 minutes squeeze the cabbage well & separate the water. Don’t throw the water you can knead atta for chapati in that water.
3.Then in the cabbage add chopped onions-1 tbsp,chopped garlic-1 tsp,Chilly-2 nos chopped,Red chilly powder-12 tsp,spring onions-2 tbsp,soysauce-1tsp,
maida/all purpose flour-2 tbsp,Corn flour-2 tbsp, Rice flour-1 tbsp, salt to taste. Combine everything well without water to make a dough.the water content
in cabage is enough to make the dough.Then grease your palm with oil. Take small amount of the dough to make lemon size balls. Repeat the process and
prepare all the manchurian balls & keep aside in a plate.
4.Heat a pan & add oil for deep frying the balls. Check the oil. The oil should be medium hot.drop 6 to 7 balls in the oil depending upon the space in the
pan & fry till golden & well cooked from all the sides in medium flame.Prepare all the manchurian balls & keep aside.
5.Now heat a pan or wok. Add oil-2 tbsp.When the oil is hot add chopped garlic 2tbsp.Saute till the raw smell goes. No need to make it brown.
6.Now add chopped onion 1 small & saute till it becomes little soft. Then add chopped chilly, chopped spring onions, chopped capsicum. Mix well & saute
for 2 minutes in high flame.
7.Then add red chilly powder-1tsp. Mix well & turn the heat to medium. Then add soysauce-1tsp,Red chilly sauce-1tbsp,Tomato sauce-2 tbsp. Mix well & saute
for 1 minute.
8.Then in a bowl take 2tsp corn flour, add 1/2 cup water mix well so that there is no lumps.
9.Now add the cornflour mixture to the sauces & keep stiring & let it cook till becomes thick.
10.Now add in the fried mabchurian balls Mix well with the sauces & cook for a minute.
11.Now add some spring onions & mix
12.Turn off the heat & take out in a serving bowl & Enjoy with Naan,Paratha,Roti, Rice or fried rice.
