Ingredients:
1.White bread-5 slice
2.ghee/clarified butter-3.5tbsp
3.cashewnuts-20 nos
4.raisins-2tsp
5.full cream milk-2 cups
6.sugar-3.5 tbsp or as per taste
Method:
1.Take 5 slice of white bread & cut them in to dice & keep aside.Here I am not cutting the edges but you can cut the edges if you want to.
2.After that heat a pan & add ghee/clarified butter-2tbsp
3.When the ghee melts add 20 nos of cashewnuts & roast until golden & take out.
4.After that add raisins-2tsp roast until it puffs & then take out.
5.To the same ghee add the bread pieces & saute until golden & crisp.
6.Once the bread turns golden add sugar 3tbsp or as per taste & mix it.
7.Now add milk-2 cups & give it a good mix & let it cook in milk for 6 to 10 minutes while stir in between
8.when the bread becomes thick keep stiring in low medium flame to avoid burning & cook for 5 minutes more.
9.When the milk gets absorbed fully add the roasted dry fruits & mix it well & satrt cooking another 5 minutes .
10.Now add 1tbsp more ghee to it & cook it until the ghee releases & it separates from the pan. It will take 10 minutes.
11.Now the halwa is ready take out chill & serve.
