Ingredients:
For idli:

1.Urad dal/black gram-1 cup
2.rice-2 cups
3.salt to taste
4.oil for greasing

For chutney:
1.Tomato-1 medium
2.Onion-1 medium
3.green chilly-3 nos
4.Garlic-3 to 4 cloves
5.Curry leaves-7 to 8
6.Mustard oil-1tbsp
7.salt to taste

Method:
For idli:

1.In a bowl add 1 cup urad dal/black gram & in another bowl add 2 cups of rice. Wash them well. Then fill with water & soak for 4 to 6 hours.
2.After 4 hours drain the water.
3.Take a blender add the urad dal along with half cup water. Blend to a smooth paste & pour in a bowl.In the same blender add the rice and half cup water & blend it to a smooth
paste & add to the urad dal bowl.
4.Start mixing it for 10 minutes.Then cover & keep in warm place overnight for formentation
5.In the morning Mix once again.Add some salt & mix well.
6.Then add water in a idli pot & let it boil. Mean while grease the idli pot & fill with batter
7.Then put the idli plates in the steamer.Cover & cook for 25 to 30 minutes in medium flame
8.Check the idlis after 30 minutes with a tooth pick .Then take out & let it cool down
9.Then clear the sides & take out the idlis.

Method to prepare chutney:
1.Heat a pan & Add mustard oil-1tbsp.
2.When the oil is hot add tamoato-1 medium,green chilly-3,garlic 3 to4 cloves,6 to 7 curry leaves,onion 1 medium. Add salt to taste. Mix well.Cover & cook
for 5 to 7 minutes.
3.After 7 minutes everything cooked. Take out & cool down completely.
4.Then put everything in a blender & blend it to a smooth paste.
5.Then serve with idli & enjoy..
