Ingredients:
1.White sesame seeds-1 cup(200 gm)
2.Gud/jaggery-1 & 1/4 cup (210 Gm)
3.Ghee-1.5 tbsp
4.Water-2tsp
Method:
1.First take an aluminium foil or baking papaer. Put some ghee & grease it well with brush & keep aside
2.Now Heat a pan & add the sesame seeds-1 cup (200 gm). Dry roast the sesame seeds till the colour changes & it becomes aromatic
3.Once the sesame seeds done take out & transfer to a plate & keep aside
4.Now heat a pan & add ghee-1tbsp.
5.When the ghee melts add jaggery 1 & 1/4 cup (210 gm). Mix it well
6.Add 2tsp water & let the jaggery to melt
7.Once the jaggery melts keep mixing the jaggery till we get the required texture in low flame
8.Now check the texture by dropping a drop of jaggery to a bowl of water & check whether it comes to binding state or not
9.Once you get the required texture add the roasted sesame seeds & mix it well & cook it in low medium flame till it separates from the pan
10.Now transfer the mixture to the greased foil & tap with the spatula to make it smooth.
11.Take a rolling pin, grease it with ghee & start rolling the mixture to flatten from all the sides.
12.Now take knife grease it with ghee & start cutting it like chikki shape
13.Cut it before it cools down because once it cool down it will become very hard to cut
14.Now let it cool down completely.
15.Then Serve & enjoy the chikki..
